Introducing the WhereWand II RTLS configuration tool by Zebra Location Solutions. This innovative tool, combining a handheld computer and an adapter kit, enables the configuration of various WhereTag asset tags, WhereCall telemetry messaging tags, WherePort proximity exciters, and WhereLAN location sensors. The device is compliant with the ISO/IEC 24730-2 air interface standard and features an intuitive user interface guiding users through reading and setting device parameters. A built-in barcode scanner allows for swift tag ID input.Wireless communication with WhereTags is initiated by tag IDs and does not require isolation, utilizing the ISO/IEC 24730-2 compliant wireless interface to manage programmable parameters such as blink rates and response behaviors. Furthermore, the WhereWand II seamlessly interfaces with WhereLAN location sensors for tasks like triggering LED blinks, system reboots, and configuring network settings. This communication covers distances typically exceeding 60 meters (200 feet) through a standard DSSS air interface.Interaction with WherePort III and IV devices occurs through a physical connection, allowing for parameter adjustments such as ID, power levels, and counts. The WhereWand II package comes with a handheld mobile computer, a charging cradle kit with both US and continental Europe power cords, adapters, and a carrying case containing the adapter unit and software. The handheld mobile computer is compatible with Motorola's MC9090, MC9190, and MC9200 series, and an adapter kit option is available without the handheld computer.
