Variable Range Bar code Laser Scanner or Imager

The MC9060-G (MC9000-G Series) delivers an unsurpassed choice of scanning and imaging technologies. You can select an integrated high-performance laser bar code scan engine or a feature-rich, powerful imager, depending on your application requirements.

If you choose the handheld's scanner option, a variable-range scan engine allows your users to scan one-dimensional (1D) bar codes from as close as 4 inches or as far as 40 feet away with equal accuracy. In addition to user mobility, this unique capability makes it possible for you to cost-effectively deploy one mobile device in a variety of different environments.

The powerful new imager reads 1D and two-dimensional (2D) bar code and composite code symbologies. The MC9060-G (MC9000-G Series) has a very small form factor engine with the widest working range of any commercially available imager. And its superior illumination gives your users the ability to work in any environment, even in dimly lit areas.

Extremely Rugged

The MC9060-G (MC9000-G Series) features an innovative mechanical design that withstands multiple 6-foot drops to concrete. Its IP64 sealing rating makes it virtually impervious to dust and moisture in environments where intensive bar code scanning takes place. Users will experience less system downtime. You'll also make a smaller investment in spare-parts inventory for these rugged mobile devices. As a result, your end-user productivity will rise, and you'll experience a lower total cost of ownership.

Choice of Operating Systems

The MC9060-G (MC9000-G Series) offers two versions of the popular Windows CE operating system for mobile devices: CE .NET and Windows Mobile 2003. This gives you the choice of many different features supported by Windows CE. It provides you with a more robust security scheme. And it also supports popular rich-media applications similar to many desktop environments today.

Large, Bright Display

The MC9060-G (MC9000-G Series) is available with your choice of 3.8-in. 1/4-VGA color or monochrome display. Its generous screen size provides a larger viewing area for clear visibility in a multitude of different lighting environments without compromising the size of the device. With its trim, sleek ergonomics, this handheld is easy-to-use with a screen that helps reduce user fatigue for maximum productivity.

Backlit, Field Replaceable Keyboard

For unmatched versatility, the MC9060-G (MC9000-G Series) offers a choice of five different keypads: 43- and 53-key alphanumeric plus three emulator keypads (5250, 3270 and VT series). Whether you're running Windows CE or terminal emulation applications, your users can easily swap and install keypads as needed. The mobile handheld's modular design enables users to quickly remove and change keypads while on the road, in the warehouse or in the store.

Forward-Scanning Ergonomics

Based on extensive user research plus improved industrial design techniques, the MC9060-G (MC9000-G Series) combines forward-scanning ergonomics with a portfolio of features for maximum ease of use. This handheld is more rugged than ever, and it's comfortable to use even for extended, task-intensive periods of time. Features such as an improved sculpted handle, a more convenient battery location, a large color display and large keys combine for an overall user experience that is less fatiguing and more productive.
