The Alien ALR9650 takes up little space; at only 9 inches square it uses less than half the real-estate of a typical, separate reader and antenna system. The Alien Reader Protocol features Autonomous Mode, a programmable state machine that enables the reader to operate independently based on external I/O triggers, timing or software inputs. The PRHD102 is a dual frequency reader which is equipped with an integrated HF-Antenna as well as an integrated UHF-Antenna. Available in a wired USB or a wireless Bluetooth version makes it the perfect unit for use at a single workstations or for delivery control and inventory purposes.

Due to its form factor, the A528 is specifically designed to be easily embedded either in battery powered mobile devices, such as industrial handhelds, or fixed reading point devices, such as printers, point of sales, self-service kiosks or industrial automation readers. With programmable output power in 8 steps from 10dBm to 27dBm, the reader can detect tags up to 3m away.
