The Alien ALR9650 takes up little space; at only 9 inches square it uses less than half the real-estate of a typical, separate reader and antenna system. Combined with the elimination of messy cables for antennas and power, the ALR9650 easily fits into a variety of tight spaces and enables neat and tidy placement when it is visible to consumers or the general public. The Alien ALR9650 is the ideal tool for new users of RFID. With its integrated antenna and out-of-the-box software compatibility, the reader enables new users to quickly start reading tags and developing solutions.

The Alien Reader Protocol features Autonomous Mode, a programmable state machine that enables the reader to operate independently based on external I/O triggers, timing or software inputs. This flexible system leads to best-in-class read rates by enabling users to precisely control the parameters for timing, protocols, antenna usage and other critical variables without network latency. The ALR9900+ is backward compatible and interchangeable with previous Alien readers such as the previous generation ALR-9900, the ALR-9800 and ALR-9780, ensuring easy transition.
